🔥 RACE FOR WAGS 🔥
Operation Wags – Warbirds Community Air Race
Every Lap Counts • Every Warbird Welcome • One Community
For more than two decades, Matt “Wags” Wagner has helped shape DCS into the simulation and community that so many of us call home.
Now it is our turn to fly together and show our support.
As part of the community-wide Operation Wags initiative, we will host a special edition of our TigerMercs Warbirds Air Race:
RACE FOR WAGS
The event will take place during both official Operation Wags weekends:
📅 Friday, July 31 – Sunday, August 2, 2026
📅 Friday, August 7 – Sunday, August 9, 2026
This is not a traditional championship.
There will be no prize, no entry fee and no pressure to achieve the fastest lap.
This event is about flying together as a community and sending a visible message of support to Matt “Wags” Wagner, his family and Eagle Dynamics.
No prizes. No weapons. Just one community flying together.
🏁 EVERY LAP COUNTS
The stopwatch will still record your lap times during the race.
However, the main Race for Wags leaderboard on our website and Discord server will not be ranked by the fastest lap.
For this event, the ranking will be based on:
The number of successfully completed laps.
Every valid lap counts toward your personal total.
It does not matter:
- which available Warbird you fly,
- how fast you complete the course,
- whether you are an experienced Air Race pilot,
- or whether this is your first attempt.
The fastest lap times may still be displayed as additional information, but they will not determine the main event ranking.
The aim is not to find one champion.
The aim is to complete as many laps as possible together.
✈️ CHOOSE YOUR WARBIRD
All Warbirds provided on the Race for Wags server may participate.
You are free to choose the aircraft you enjoy flying most.
Changing between the available Warbirds during the event is also planned. Our goal is to combine all successfully completed laps under your pilot name, regardless of which aircraft you used.
Final technical confirmation of the cross-aircraft lap count will follow before the event begins.
Whether you fly one aircraft throughout the event or try several different Warbirds:
Your completed laps are what count.
🌍 OPEN TO EVERYONE
Every DCS pilot is welcome to participate.
There is:
- no registration,
- no entry fee,
- no minimum skill level,
- and no obligation to donate.
Simply join the server, select an available Warbird and complete the course.
You may fly one lap, ten laps or return throughout both weekends to add more successful laps to your total.
Every participant becomes part of the Race for Wags community effort.
❤️ SUPPORT OPERATION WAGS
Donations can be made directly through the official Operation Wags fundraiser:
https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-matt-wags-wagners-cancer-fight
Donating is completely voluntary.
We will not collect any money ourselves. All donations should be made directly through the official fundraiser.
You can also support Operation Wags by:
- joining the event,
- completing laps,
- sharing the fundraiser,
- watching participating streams,
- inviting other pilots,
- and helping spread the message throughout the DCS community.
Every donation, every share and every completed lap helps show that the community stands together.
📊 RESULTS AND LEADERBOARD
The Race for Wags leaderboard will be published on our website and on the Air Race Discord server.
The main ranking will show the number of successfully completed laps for each pilot.
Additional information may include:
- the Warbirds flown,
- the fastest recorded lap,
- and the total number of community laps.

The aircraft may be different.
The lap times may be different.
The experience levels may be different.
But during Race for Wags, we all fly for the same reason.
Every lap counts.
We fly together for Wags.
Fly low! Fly fast! Fly together!
